Sustainable, local sourcing

We believe in a responsible, local approach.

We select our suppliers carefully, giving preference to local, French or European producers, to support short circuits and promote regional craftsmanship. Each product is carefully selected for its lowest possible environmental impact and ethical origin.
When it comes to equipping our workspaces, second-hand is the way to go, choosing desks and chairs from a radius of less than 100 kms.

We are also constantly questioning the make-up of products and their end-of-life cycle. For example, each room is equipped with 100% recyclable mattresses at the end of their life cycle, embodying our commitment to a responsible, circular economy.

From water and waste management to zero single-use plastics

At Les Lumières, we make sure our convictions are turned into actions:

By reducing our water and energy consumption, which is well below the national average (estimated at 300 liters of water per night per customer in France), thanks to constant monitoring and awareness-raising among our teams.
By choosing not to offer an in-room minibar to reduce the use of coolant gases and energy consumption.

By committing to a future without single-use plastics. We have done away with all disposable plastic products, favoring sustainable alternatives with every purchase. Water fountains located in our communal areas avoid bottles and reduce unnecessary packaging. Doing so, we are all helping to preserve our environment.
By working with Take a Waste, a company specializing in flow and waste management, to minimize our impact.

Preserving biodiversity in urban environments

On our plates, every dish is made with fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. Our menus are designed with a reduction in meat products in mind, emphasizing vegetables, legumes and plant-based products as a whole.
Our goal is to achieve an initial proportion of 20% organic ingredients.
We are also working to obtain the Ecotable label, giving priority to short-circuit sourcing and chemical-free food.

At the heart of our green spaces, we work with a design office to carefully select each tree and shrub, in this way promoting biodiversity and pollinators, while maintaining harmony with historically present species.
In our daily actions, we limit the use of chemicals, opting for gentle, eco-responsible cleaning procedures and ensuring minimal water consumption. All the products we use are eco-friendly.
This is a conscious promise to the nature that nourishes and inspires us.
